Do You Have the Persistence of Thomas Edison Or Colonel Sanders?

In order to have SUCCESS in life or in business we must have PERSISTENCE. The habits that we have can control our PERSISTENCE. If you can work on changing your habits for the better, set goals in writing, look at themseveral times per day, think of the different ways to achieve them, try to break down the task at hand down into smaller pieces, tell people about your goals or desires to accomplish, if they tell you it won't work or you can't do it, avoid that negativity and surround your self with positive support. You must believe in yourself.Thomas Edison failed to create the incandescant light bulbover 10,000times before having SUCCESS through PERSISTENCE, he did not give up. He tried over and over to accomplish his goal of creating the light bulb. He truly believed he could do it, and he did. Imagine if he had quit trying to accomplish his goal, what if he did not have the PERSISTENCE,where would the world be today? You may be the next Thomas Edison, so be persistent and goand achieve your Goals and Desires. What about Colonel Sanders from Kentucky Fried Chicken? He too had many failures before someone accepted his chicken recipe. The story is said that Confident of the quality of his fried chicken, the Colonel devoted himself to the chicken franchising business that he started in 1952. He traveled across the country by car from restaurant to restaurant, cooking batches of chicken for restaurant owners and their employees. If the reaction was good, he entered into a handshake agreement on a deal that stipulated a payment to him of a nickel for each chicken the restaurant sold. By 1964, Colonel Sanders had more than 600 franchised outlets for his chicken in the United States and Canada. That year, he sold his interest in the U.S. company for $2 million to a group of investors including John Y. Brown Jr., who later was governor of Kentucky from 1980 to 1984. The Colonel remained a public spokesman for the company. In 1976, an independent survey ranked the Colonel as the world's second most recognizable celebrity. So as you can see he too was persistent. After many years KFCwas sold for $840 Million. Do you have the ability to be persistant?
